About BMICalcGuide

BMICalcGuide.com is a free, ad-supported health calculator tool for everyday fitness and wellness planning. It estimates BMI, BMR, TDEE, and daily macro targets using well-established formulas.

What this tool does

The calculator takes basic inputs — age, sex, height, weight, and activity level — and produces estimate-based outputs for:

  • BMI (Body Mass Index) — a simple height-to-weight ratio used as a general screening metric.
  • BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) — an estimate of the calories your body uses at rest, calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation.
  • TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) — your estimated daily calorie maintenance level, adjusted for activity.
  • Goal calories and macros — simplified calorie and macro targets for maintenance, fat loss, or muscle gain.

Both metric and imperial inputs are supported.

Why it exists

Many people want a quick, clean way to get a ballpark estimate of their calorie and macro targets without signing up for an account or wading through complicated interfaces. BMICalcGuide.com is designed to be fast, readable, and straightforward.

The estimates here are starting points for general planning, not medical prescriptions. If you have a health condition or specific clinical goals, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

How it works

All calculations happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter your height, weight, age, or any other value, that information is processed locally on your device. It is never sent to a server, stored in a database, or shared with any third party. No account or login is required.

This means your health-related inputs stay private by design — not as a policy choice, but as a technical fact of how the tool is built.

Commitment to accuracy

We use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for BMR, which is widely cited in nutritional science literature. Activity multipliers follow standard TDEE estimation conventions. BMI is calculated using the standard WHO formula. Macro percentages are simplified for practical everyday use.

We review the calculator periodically to ensure the formulas remain consistent with widely accepted guidance. If you notice an error or unexpected result, please contact us.
